Facebook Messenger Channel

Connect your Facebook Page to receive and reply to Messenger conversations directly from the NotifyBulk Inbox.


Requirements

  • A Facebook Page (not a personal profile)
  • Admin access to the Facebook Page
  • The Meta App must be configured in the Admin Panel

How it works

Customer sends Messenger message to your Facebook Page
    → Meta sends webhook to NotifyBulk
    → Platform matches the Facebook Page ID
    → Message appears in Inbox

Connecting Messenger

  1. Go to Inbox → Channels
  2. Click Connect on the Messenger card
  3. Click Login with Facebook — a popup will appear
  4. Log in with the Facebook account that manages your Page
  5. Grant the requested permissions (including pages_messaging)
  6. A list of your Facebook Pages will appear
  7. Click Connect this page next to the page you want to use

Note

If a Page is already connected for Instagram, connecting it for Messenger will create a separate channel entry. Both can be active simultaneously.

access_token Page access token for the Meta Graph API

Sending messages

From Inbox, open a Messenger conversation and type your reply. Messages are delivered as Messenger messages from your Facebook Page.

24-hour standard messaging window

Meta enforces a 24-hour window for standard messaging. After 24 hours without a customer message, you can only send using approved Message Tags (e.g. confirmed event updates, post-purchase notifications). Attempting to send outside this window will return a policy error.


Inbound messages

All messages sent to your Facebook Page via Messenger appear in Inbox in real time.


Troubleshooting

Problem Solution
Page not appearing in list Make sure you are logged in with an account that has admin access to the Page
Messages not arriving Reconnect the channel to refresh the webhook subscription
"Message outside window" error The 24h window has passed. You cannot send a free-form message to this customer at this time
Token errors Page access tokens can be revoked if permissions change. Reconnect the channel
