Contact Groups

Groups let you organize contacts into lists for bulk campaigns and surveys.


Creating a group

  1. Go to Contacts → Groups
  2. Click New Group
  3. Enter a Group Name
  4. Click Save

Adding contacts to a group

Manually

  1. Open the group
  2. Click Add Contacts
  3. Search and select contacts to add
  4. Click Add

During import

When importing a CSV, you can assign all imported contacts to a group automatically. See Import Contacts.

From the contact profile

Open a contact's profile → click Groups tab → select the group to add them to.


Removing contacts from a group

Open the group → find the contact in the member list → click Remove. The contact is removed from the group but not deleted from your contact list.


Using groups in campaigns

When creating an SMS or email campaign, the Contact Group field lets you select which group receives the message. Every active contact in that group will receive the campaign.


Group statistics

Each group card shows:

  • Total contacts — current member count
  • Last campaign — date of the most recent campaign sent to this group

Dynamic vs. static groups

Groups in NotifyBulk are static — you manage membership manually or via import. Contacts are not automatically added or removed based on rules.

To simulate a dynamic group, use the CSV import to refresh group membership periodically.


Deleting a group

On the groups list, click the Delete icon next to the group. This deletes the group and all its memberships. The contacts themselves are not deleted.

Warning

Deleting a group that is associated with a scheduled campaign will cause that campaign to have 0 recipients. Cancel the campaign first if it is still scheduled.
