Contacts

Contacts (also called Customers) are the people your store communicates with. Every conversation, campaign, and survey is linked to your contact list.


Contact fields

Field Description
First Name Contact's first name
Last Name Contact's last name
Phone Primary phone number (with country code, e.g. +15551234567)
Email Email address
Company Optional: company or organization name
Notes Free-text internal notes
Opt-in Status Whether the contact has consented to receive messages
Created Date When the contact was added

Adding a contact manually

  1. Go to Contacts → Customers
  2. Click Add Contact
  3. Fill in at least the First Name and Phone fields
  4. Click Save

Searching contacts

Use the search bar at the top of the contacts list to search by name, phone number, or email.


Editing a contact

Click any contact in the list to open their profile. Click Edit to modify any field.


Deleting a contact

In the contact profile, click Delete. This removes the contact and disassociates them from any groups. Their conversation history in the inbox is preserved.


Contact history

From the contact profile you can see:

  • All SMS messages sent to/from this contact (via the SMS Log tab)
  • Their group memberships
  • Any survey responses
